Stan Miller F5

This Stan Miller F5 is one of the best mandolins I've played at any price. Tone-wise, it is loud, deep, clear, rich, and resonant. It has a huge bass presence and has a lot of "woof", which I tend to favor. It definitely holds it's own in a band or jam context.

It seems that Stan Miller's mandolins are somewhat "under-the-radar" in terms of market recognition, but I think they measure up to the best modern builds out there. His workmanship is quite nice too. The neck profile is perfection - "plays itself" applies here. Overall, a pleasure to own and play.

Features - Traditional tobacco burst. Fine woods throughout. Fully bound. Radiused fingerboard. Rounded neck profile. Fern inlay, no name on peghead. James tailpiece.
