SOLD - This fine Gilchrist Model 5 mandolin was owned by a couple of great pro players and for good reason. It has that wonderful Gil tone up and down the neck. Plenty of power and volume here with great depth and clarity. Very "musical" and pleasing to the ear. The neck is extremely comfortable. As the photos confirm, the woods are beautiful. An "heirloom-to-be". An F5 mandolin just doesn't get any better than this. Recently upgraded with new Waverly tuners, full contact bridge, fret dressing and setup by Lynn Dudenbostel.
